Associated British Foods (ABF) was founded as a bakery business by the Weston family back in 1935. Since then we have grown to become an international group of food, ingredients and retail businesses, today employing over 137,000 people and generating sales of over £15.6bn. The Weston family continue to play a central role in the group, so although we’ve grown, we’re still a family run business at heart.

ABF is divided into five main business areas: Sugar, Agriculture, Ingredients, Retail and Grocery. The Grocery group is made up of eight businesses that manufacture and distribute a wide variety of well-known food and drink brands, from Blue Dragon, Kingsmill and Ryvita to Silver Spoon, Twinings and many more!

Each business operates independently from one another, but we all share the same core values and down-to-earth, open culture which ABF prides itself on.

At ABF we believe that you do most of your learning on the job, so from day one of your 18-month or two-year grocery graduate scheme, you will be given a real part to play in the growth and development of your business. Alongside this you will also complete a structured programme of both functional and general leadership training with your fellow graduates. Our 7 graduate schemes across Customer Development, Engineering, HR, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain & Operations and Technical are all designed to give you hands-on experience from the get-go, to stretch your thinking and to accelerate your development into a future ABF leader!
